But sometimes we do things for horror’s sake XDĪ comparison to literally decomposing could be stuff like diabetic food wounds (I don’t recommend looking up pictures, unless you wanna see some nasty stuff). Arguably I was being a bit fanciful, with his face being stuck in a mask of horror because that would require the facial muscles to have run out of energy then, and his face would probably be a bit more relaxed realistically but his mouth would be open, and his face would be stuck as well. And get up and he finds a mirror and his face is stuck, stuck in the open mouthed wide eyed scream of his death and he has to force his jaw closed with his hands… and well there’s ways to make actual rigor mortis pretty horrific And he finds out he’s in a coffin and he panics and fights and finally gets out some how he’s not sure. But then he forces the movement and suddenly there no way problem, why was it so hard. Rigor Mortis would be waking up in the dark in the coffin apparently possessing his dead body, but he can’t move! It’s dark and he can’t move as single muscle. The idea of Danny feeling this stiffness and cold is very good, it definitely has a “my body died, but now it’s alive or IS IT?” feel, but just don’t call it rigor mortis. Back to rigor mortis, it’s stiff but once you bend a limb of a body it’s loose again, it happens because the body isn’t supplying glucose to the muscles and the muscle cell gets stuck in position, but once it’s broken it’s all loose and since the body is dead there’s nothing to make the muscle cells grip back onto it’s internal protein scaffolding (the micro anatomy is a bit far away so a bit hard to explain XD), but anyways another thing that will break rigor mortis aside from someone moving the limbs is just decomposing of the body so really rigor mortis is a very temporary thing. It sets in something like 6 hours after death (at the top of my head, might be wrong) and then it’s there and it’s one of the certain death signs along with livores (death spots, which is blood traveling where gravity has pulled it and it has settled so looks like permanent bruising) and rot. Rigor mortis is only there until it’s broken though. Throughout the day it gets harder and harder to move until he’s struggling to even stand. So, obviously he goes about his day, literally what else can he do? Except he feels a bit more stiff than normal. And he finally manages to drag himself out of his own grave to realize he’s completely human. So he digs widely because he can’t breathe, where is he, he needs out. Danny tries to phase out but it doesn’t work. He shouldn’t need to breath but everything was suffocating. So he happened to fall asleep that night. Except he’s under the impression that he just straight up died, no funky business. He decides to bury it because, you know, dead and all that. There is another, slightly less popular idea that Danny’s body is constantly decaying. Is he just a ghost shape shifting to look human? Does he go back to his body and it looks like he just passed out? Does he overshadow his body? Did he just, like, regrow his entire mortal form?Įither way, that’s not what I’m here for. There’s this massive idea in the phanon that when Danny died he left behind a body (as it should this idea is amazing).įirst of all I want to know what happens to Danny when he turns human again. Danny Phantom Look I can relate to the problems with the age thing Leave me alone Danny Fenton Clockwork Lost Time too young for responsibility squad look all I'm saying is that if I were in his position I'd break down This is a long winded way of saying I want more Lost Time. But Danny would have to go through more changes in himself and his mental state than anyone could imagine, he’s need some sort of parental figure to guide him.

I want to see him with mentors, heaven knows his parents don’t fit the bill and Jazz is just a teen herself. I want to see him be a fourteen year old, not quite a teen not quite a child. I think this is why we as a phandom are so drawn to the idea of ghost children, because Danny is a child. And he did all this before the end of the year, or the end of the next year I don’t remember. He defeated the literal king of the ghost zone, a version of himself that was powerful enough to end the world, and stopped the actual destruction of the planet (arguably two whole dimensions but still). Can we talk about how young Danny is? He was fourteen when he died.
